PAIR OF WICKER ARMCHAIRS

A pair of handwoven wicker armchairs of generous, architectural form. The high squared back tapering slightly inward above wide flat arms and a solid boxy base. The whole frame constructed over a rattan skeleton and woven tightly in warm honey-toned wicker that has mellowed beautifully with age. The structure is confident and rectilinear without being stiff, with just enough curve at the shoulder to keep the silhouette from severity. Each chair has a newly reupholstered seat cushion in olive green fabric. Solid and comfortable as a pair in a sitting room or used individually as statement accent chairs.
