INDUSTRIAL ENAMEL LAMP

A large factory pendant lamp in black vitreous enamel, the deep conical shade widening to a substantial 17" diameter and retained at the rim by the original pressed metal ring and hardware. The cast metal canopy at the top retains its original junction box and wiring. The piece entirely unrestored. The enamel is intact and glossy on the exterior. Czech industrial lighting of this type was produced in quantity during the 1960s for factories, warehouses, and public buildings throughout Eastern Europe, and has since become one of the most collected categories of industrial lighting for its scale, material quality, and straightforward authority.
