A Provence-based atelier known for its architectural wooden furnishings that emerged during France’s post-war return to natural materials. Constructed entirely from solid elm, the cabinet is defined by a dimensional grid of vertical and horizontal members. THe piece is influenced by vernacular carpentry, yet distilled into a clean, modern form.
Maison Regain, active throughout the 1960s–1980s, collaborated with regional makers to produce furniture that honored craftsmanship while embracing a simplified, rural modernism. Each piece was built for longevity, with visible grain, substantial weight, and uncompromising joinery
